It might be the thermostat but first pull it out and vacuum the coils and everything else you can reach, Make sure the cover in the back is in the right place or hasn't been removed. Then if you are not handy call the repairman
Yep! Cleaning the coils would be the first step. Check the setting on the thermostat. May be set too low or accidentally set too low. Check the door seals that there are no gaps and are in good condition. May need to be cleaned to seal properly. You can stick a dollar bill and close the door on it. If it's tight and takes a little effert to pull it out the seals are good. Do this in different areas along the door. If there was a freon leak you would here a very noisy compressor and it would not cool properly or fail. Bad compressor time for a new fridge.

Low on freon..., it’s what makes the fridge cold, have a repair person come and check the freon gas level. There may be a leak.
