The old kitchen sink takes up a"lot of space. I have several layers of tiles on top of the counter as well as the tin squares. It is a mess, if I keep this old sink there is about 3 feet of counter space. The cabinets were custom made back in the 1930's, they are white and they stay dirty. any suggestions. Sorry I do not have a photo show at this time. The sink takes up about 2 feet of my counter.
Thank you, Mary Davis

Start with a smaller sink, and put new counter tops. Clean the cabinets with Murphy's oil soap, dry completely. Next, take off the hardware from the doors and draws. Lay the doors on a flat surface to paint. Use a high gloss and give it two coats, dry completely after first coat. Spray the hardware with a color that would give contrast to the cabinets, and the color of the room. You could also buy new hardware, but it gets pricy.

I like your information, Hopefully, the gloss paint would allow them to be cleaned easier. Thank you, Mary Davis

Have a look at new Kitchens at DIY's to get a plan and see if you could afford it. Or Look for a secondhand kitchen on eBay or Craig's List and find out how much it would cost to have it fitted. Or call in a handyman and ask for a price to upgrade .....................
