Glitter walls- how to get the glitter to show?

I painted my wall in my family room a medium gray, it is a wall that does not get a lot of sun and light. I added Valspar glitter crystals to my paint,I added the entire package to a half gallon of paint. I am so disappointed that you cannot see the glitter at all. I want to do the wall over but I want to see some bling. I do not want to go the Mod Podge way, does anyone have any suggestions to make the wall pop. Has anyone heard of or used "Hemway glitter paint" ? If so, what are your thoughts? It is quite expensive. Thank you for any input.

With glitter paints you usually need to continually stir the paint as you are applying it to make sure the glitter doesn't sink to the bottom of the can, and you end up missing out on a lot of glitter.

I have used paint/glitter before, and I never mixed it into the paint. What I did was while the paint was still wet on the surface, I used a spreader (available at quality paint stores) to scatter the glitter on the wet paint.
