How do I clean black stains from linoleum?

I recently had linoleum put down in my kitchen. I had an extra piece that I put under my cats water bowl. Water got underneath the piece of linoleum and left a big black spot on the floor. I've tried everything I could think of to remove it, but nothing works. Can you help me?

Darn, on your new floor. So it must be some sort of mold that developed under there? I think bleach is your only option. When you say you tried everything, was that in your arsenal? I've had some success with Oxi-Clean when even real chlorine bleach didn't work though. Maybe make a strong paste with hot water and Oxi-Clean and let it soak for a few hours. You've got nothing to lose at this point, right? If all else fails get some cute placemats to just keep under the cat's bowl and hide the stain.
