I have gartener snakes. What could be done to keep them away???

They are harmless creatures, but they help keep your yard free of rodents. If they are in your yard, they either are after the goodies (critters) in your yard or they think they like the environment to bask in the sun, etc. They would be more of a plus, than something you want to get rid of. I used to play with them when I was a kid.
Having these snakes in your garden means you are blessed! If you have ever had a grasshopper or mouse jump on you while gardening you will appreciate them even more, plus, I love to show them to my husband!
