Any advice to change a gravel driveway to something else inexpensively

We purchased our first home in June last year. It has a gravel driveway and to change it to concrete is way too expensive. Does anyone have any other solutions to what we may be able to do?

Asphalt is expensive also but you could check on it.

There was no driveway on our property when we bought this house. First thing my husband did was dig one. Then we got gravel which sunk into the ground, was not stable and did not last long. We had stone colored brick sized pavers laid. This was very expensive (to us) took all my earnings from a yard sale (just under 3K) But it has lasted many, many years and always looks great, is easy to maintain and to plow and shovel. Most people in my area have tarvia driveways. That is less expensive, to me looks more industrial and has to be topped every year or so.

Hi Kim, hope this helps, you could get an estimate for asphalt, or rubber overlay. Neither is likely cheap, or you can put some pavers down, (lots of work) Or just add in some new colored gravel/rocks to the existing driveway.
