Hi Joyce, check the amazon reviews on solar lights. Honestly I purchased some $1 solar lights at walmart two years ago and they still work great!

when you say durable and ample lighting, that’s a hard one to answer not knowing how long you expect lights to last or how bright you need for what purpose? Personally solar lights for putting around paths or in flower gardens that I have used so far don’t last more than 3 years if that? Some will quit working the first year and doesn’t matter if you change batteries and or clean the battery post/ connections! They just stop working! They also are not the brightest bulb either. If your looking for brightness you’ll have to run electrical wiring and put in 110 volt lights. Now if your looking for solar security lights? There’s some that’s acceptable lighting, but nothing compared to what you have with a 110 volt electrical security light with a motion detector! Biggest thing to watch for is what Lums the light puts out? If it doesn’t say how many lums it puts out don’t buy them! Any that don’t say the lums are always very dim lights! For solar your going to find around 700-800 lums on adverage. You can get brighter ones, but run on larger batteries and larger solar panels that get pretty expensive! So depending on your budget what you want to spend for the amount of light you want? Amazon has many good solar lights of all sizes and power ranges to give you a great idea what your choice are! I also like checking out YouTube as well for things like this to see what’s on the videos too! Hope this helps you? Good luck
We saw a solar light that was set up in Costco. I was amazed how much light it put off. We ended up buying two. They have worked for many years and are still as good as when they were first put in. Be cautious of the quality of products that you buy from stores like Walmart. If you go online and read some of the consumer reviews they are NOT GOOD. Some only work for a few months and some not at all. I believe the Sentry brand is what Costco carrys. They cost about $10 more then Walmart's but are superior.
