Do you have a husband or son or even you with a lot of hats?? Cover a board (you choose the size depending on the amount of hats) with batting and then material (needs to be sturdy like upholstery or duck fabrics) staple taughtly in the back and trim excess. Place hooks in fabric in any spacing or design you desire and hang hats. Makes a fun display for any hat lover!!
The method outlined by Eileen, above, can also be used for hanging jewellery, especially delicate chains that tend to knot up, from the hooks.
You can use them for organizing scarves on a metal hanger
