How can I get super glue off of a dining room table?

The table feels like a wood look formica but it is on solid wood. I hate to try acetone in case it ruins the top. It's been on there for over 10 years now.

Acetone will ruin the finish but probably will not remove the super glue. You can gingerly try to scrape the super glue off with a razor blade but you almost surely will take some of the finish with you. You are trying to remove a product that is much stronger than what it is attached to. Only thing you can do it take advantage of its brittleness by using a razor blade.

I can't say that it won't damage the table but I've used acetone nail polish remover on a whole lot of things to remove super glue. I got super glue on my eyeglasses and it took it right off plus cleaned my glasses better than my eyeglass cleaner. Good luck.
