You can buy window film that adheres to the inside of your window. That way you can take it down when you need to clean. Make a overhang or awning that attaches to the house and it just above the window. Find out what angle is right for your area (lets indirect light in but keeps direct light out).
I would first put heat reflecting window film on them, then maybe add an awning above the window to decrease the amount of sun on them.

How about using Bahamas shutters?

Hello! You can place either outdoor shutters on those windows or indoor shutters. I have indoor folding shutters on my bedroom windows that keep the sun out when needed. Another option would be to install motorized window treatments, which are basically remote-controlled shades or blinds. Good luck!
