How to install a printer inside a desk drawer

If it fits in the drawer, make sure you can still use the scanner if it has one. You will need to cut a hole in the back of the drawer so that you can put the cord through. Make sure there is enough cord to allow you to fully open the drawer to use the printer.

If your running your printer much for very long? I’d be concerned about not enough air flow and possibly burning up my printer or worse? Most electronics need good air flow, so you may want to look into this before trying to go this route? Your drawer may get too hot and dry out your ink cartridges too fast too! I don’t use my printer enough and my cartridges dry out from time to time with my printer just sitting on top a counter! Other issue is, will you be able to load your paper when it’s in a drawer and how about when you print paper, where is it going to go? You need a pretty long drawer I would think? Have you considered removing the drawer completely and putting in a wood shelf on the bottom inside the cabine for the printer to sit on? Hopefully that still give it some air flow and still allow room to add paper and get your printed paper too! Just a thought, hate to see you burn up your printer or worse?

We have our printer in a used-to-be drawer space, works great. We installed a pull out shelf to roll the printer forward, as we use the document feeder quite often. We used another drawer for our ink/paper supplies.
