Usually Hydrangeas should be lightly dressed with fast-release fertilizer in March, May, and July.
You can find fertilizer labeled at the home improvement stores. They will often list the type of bushes or flowers to apply that particular fertilizer. Feed plants just before growing season begins and then as often as the package says to feed it. Most flowers should get it every ten days, most bushes depends on the particular bush, but the package will tell you. Good luck on your hydrangeas! They are beautiful.
