Install a small dishwasher under the kitchen counter
I want to install a small dishwasher where there is an existing cabinet, which would have to be removed, of course. The cabinets sit next to the sink. The dishwasher would have to be installed UNDER the existing counter. Could that be done?

Before you remove the cabinet check with the dishwasher's mfg. site to be sure of the required rough opening required for the model you want to buy. Then ... Yes, if the cabinet is a piece unto itself. Way back in the day cabinets were often built on site and more continuous than today's stock cabinets. The cabinet is probably screwed to the back wall, possibly the countertop, and the cabinets beside it. Once the cabinet is out, it will be tight quarters for the guy who has to run the electrical connection and the plumbing.
