How to remove uncancelled stamps from envelopes for reuse? Save .50!

I Have several pieces of mail with postage stamps that were not canceled by the Post Office or were sent by agencies seeking donations even though I have already sent in my donation. How can the stamps be removed and used on new mail, now that stamps are $.50 each? Looking for a method that does not require cutting the stamp from the envelope. Any suggestions?

Steam them off.....
If they are the self adhesive kind, carefully pry up a corner, then pull gently along one edge until that edge is completely removed from envelope. Pull the rest of the stamp off by gently pulling slowly as close to the envelope as possible. The self adhesive ones are SO easy to remove.
Cut that part of the envelope away and when you want to use them trim the old envelope back and glue them on to a new envelope. If you peel them off you may lose the sticky stuff and tey will not glue as well as plain paper.
Agree with V Smith. Yes, you can glue stamps on to an envelope after being cut out of a previous envelope. Just don't tape over the stamp. This will void it.

Cut them off the envelopes, and put Elmer's glue on back, then on the envelopes.
I, too, have just cut them off the envelopes and glued onto ones I will mail (unless you're wanting to save the envelope). BTW.....I often cut the corners of nice envelopes diagonally to use as a bookmark on the upper corner of a book I'm reading or want to mark.
You can steam or freeze for removal. Just remove after sufficiently wet or frozen. I use a glue stick to put them on another envelope.
