How do I get rid of weeds?

I have a perennial garden that has been taken over by some type of weed. It has long roots and new weeds pop up off of the roots. Do I tear out everything and try to preserve my bulbs? thanks!

Ive had weeds and weedy woidy shrubbery like that at the roadside. It seemed impossible to pull, my husband had to burn it with a propane weed dragon And that seemed to kill it off.

You could spray the weeds with a solution of water and vinegar - could be light like 1/2 and 1/2 up to straight vinegar. It will burn the leaves and not allow sythesis in the plant. Be careful to protect the plants you want to keep because it will effect all plants it touches. You could hold cardboard agains the plant you want to protect. This worked beautifully for me.
Well you will need to get this out the only way you can, otherwise it will keep coming back..........
