How can I repair a small tear in my micro fiber sofa cushion?

The material is micro fiber but looks like leather.

If the cushion has a zipper, then take the cover off and turn it inside out and use a denim patch (with iron-on glue) on the reverse side to patch it or to sew it with tiny stitches. If the cushion doesn't come out, then I would suggest using the tiniest stitches possible to sew it up by hand using thread that is as close to matching as possible.

If you can take the cover off I would take it to a seamstress that knows how to stitch that type of material in heavy Stitch... unless you have that type of a sewing machine.

If it's really small, you can find some string in a similar color and sew it shut
