If your talking about a baseboard that runs against your flooring on the wall as a trim piece? You can use a masking paper and masking tape to prot your flooring before painting. There’s a painters masking tool that has the paper and tape on it that puts the tape on the paper as you pull it out and them just tape it where you need it to be! Make fairly quick work of masking off your flooring or what have you! Then paint away
tape the floor with painters tape along the baseboard, put down a painters cloth, and use the masking tape with 6" paper on the wall.
