Pine wood, knots bleeding through.

I have a child's bedroom with white trim on the ceiling and floor made from pine wood, and the knots are bleeding through. Any ideas if I can paint them a darker color of paint, or is there an idea to cover these knots? LET ME ADD TO THIS THAT THIS WOOD WAS PRIMED WITH KILZ "BEFORE" WE PAINTED IT WITH LATEX OVER 7 YEARS AGO. It's been slowly bleeding through over the years.

A coat of primer over the knots. After that dries, primer the entire area, dry, then paint.

seal the trim with a primer. zinsser 1 2 3 works very well, but any primer sealer should do. then paint your finish coat. tell the paint store people what your finish color is. they can dye the primer if needed.

    Seal them before painting.

Not just any primer. You need one labeled "stain blocking" or something to that effect. One brand that everyone knows is "Kilz", but not all of their products are stain blocking.

Kilz keeps stains from Bleeding through and would seal the knots as well
