Best flooring for a garage woodshop?

Mike
by Mike
It is a 24 X 30 foot garage with a slab floor. Electrical, walls, and ceiling are near completion. Living in northern WI we have cold winters and humid summers. Looking for some suggestions that won't cost a fortune.
It is insulated, heated, and will air condition this summer.
Thanks for the help - Mike

We have a concrete floor that we painted rubber flecks. If you zoom in, you can see it.

Have worked in several cabinet shops with concrete floors. If left untreated it's a nightmare to keep clean. The best is a two part epoxy, it resist most chemicals and super easy to sweep or vacuum.

mine is a woodworking shop and after the epoxy, I put down the interconecting 2 by 2 rubber mats in front of my workbench and table saw. it keeps my feet warmer, and if a tool drops, (and they do), it does not damage them. Also, it is a lot easier on my legs and back.

I'm not quite sure exactly what your looking for Mike, but if you plan on spending a lot of time in your shop and will be on your feet VS sitting: they make a rubber pad that is used in horse stalls which makes it very durable but easy on the feet and knees. I believe it comes in 4'x8'x1" pieces you can cover all or a portion of your floor. Other wise a good sealer on the concrete makes for easy clean up but does not provide any installation. I hope this helps.
