How to Paint an Aged Rust Finish
It’s hard to find decor items that are aged and vintage. If you want that farmhouse, weathered or rust finish look, you have to make them yourself, unless you have the resources to go junkin'. In this quick tutorial, I'll show you how to paint an aged rust finish on home decor items. It's very easy!
Here is the clay pot BEFORE. I used this Rust Finish Kit to transform it into vase that looks aged and weathered.
Step Paint on the primer and let dry 1 hour
Step Paint on two coats of the Iron allowing it to dry 30 minutes between coats. Fair warning, this product has a smell to it.
Step Spray on activator. Don’t over spray. Just make sure you cover the entire piece. It will take about 30-40 minutes to transform.
Voila! This clay pot looks like it belongs in a farmhouse! This is really such an easy process.
