First you pour white vinegar on the spot. Then after the spot is good and wet pour enough baking soda to cover the spot. Let it fizzle away. When it’s dry vacuum up the bak soda.

First check on a piece of carpet that won't show should this lift color of carpet. But the stain will come back because it goes throughto the plywood flooring underneath. Best is if carpet is in great shape to have it professionally lifted and floor painted with kilz paint let to dry then carpet professionally put back down then have it cleaned.

vinager and baking soda will help. But check first that it doesn’t lighten the color of your carpet. There are some spot removers that you can purchase and spray on that have worked for me.
