Add antique jewelry on the outside. You can find some old jewelry at thrift shops or yard sales.

You can add some shimmer with glitter on the frame with modge podge and glitter.

Add flowers, small stones, or whatever you have laying around. Or something that goes with the picture or the event.

wWithout knowing your decorating style, I will give you some ideas ... (1) scrapbook the background and interior sides of the shadow boxes, creating a one-of-a-kind layered frame around your pictures. (2) You can add doilies behind the photos or glue them to the glass to give it a victorian appearance. (3) The shadow boxes can be painted, or accented with scroll work. (4) You can add your favorite plaid shirt, pin the pictures on it and add silk leaves to give it an outdoor rugged effect. (5) Add mirrors to the insides of the shadow box to add depth and reflections. (6) If showing off baby pictures add the childs favorite blanket (whatever is left of it) and touch off your pictures with the baby's hospital bracelet, maybe pacifier, rattle or favorite toy. (7) Lace, ribbons, old keys, neckties, hobby items, wallpaper, stickers, anything you can think of can be added to shadow boxes to dress them and make them unique. You can use carpenter's pencils or popsicle sticks to make shelves within the shadow box to make it look like a wall and hang multiple photos on the walls. (8) Attach ornate molding to the outside of the shadow box and stain or paint to accent. Hoping this inspires you in your quest.
