    Personally, I'd leave this one to the professionals as there's too many variables & too much at stake.

    A large hole is dug to open up the foundations - you need to see the lower edge)

    Many piles are driven (or screwed) into the ground, close to the foundations, about 5 feet apart.

    Special plates are slid onto the piles to support the lower edge of the foundations & hydraulic jacks attached. All the jacks are connected so that they all lift as one. Once the foundations are sufficiently raised, all the plates are bolted off & the jacks removed. The cavity is then filled with a special expanding foam and the hole is backfilled.


    There's also a couple of other methods which can be used - depends on the construction of the house.
