Just curious if there's a certain method to use without destroying the mirror or the drywall behind it? Thanks for any replies in advance. Teresa

Hate to say it, but, unless you gave strict instructions, builders usually glue those mirrors to the wall, and the glue puts 'gorilla glue' to shame. In other words, you're stuck with it.

Have you tried dental floss? Take a long length, maybe tie each end to a small piece of wood - or something to help you grip it. Then gently pull the floss up behind (from below) the mirror and, using a sawing action, pull the floss up behind the mirror. Might be an idea to have an assistant on hand to support the mirror, prevent it coming away & taking half the drywall with it - and/or breaking.

I assume the builders would've used a proprietry 'glue' such as silicone sealant, 'sticks like $hit' or whatever else is available to them for bodging.

If it screwed on - unscrew. If it is on clips - undo bottom clips and remove. If it is stuck on - there is a good chance it won't come off without causing damage.........

Place tape all over mirror. It’s probably glued on so you will have to fix the wall☹️

Carefully pry the mirror with help holding the mirror. Go slowly!
