Spring Shutters | Hollow Hill

I love shutters and I love that they can easily take care of an awkward space or fill a wall space and make a true statement. I found these shutters on craigslist of course and I knew that I would use them eventually in my home, because we're still filling in spaces practically 3 years later in our fixer upper townhome, it takes me a while to decide exactly where I want certain things.
These shutters are solid and cheap so no second thought there. I've painted shutters before and its super easy when all you need is a little chalk paint.
Below you'll see what these shutters looked like before ....
I simply wiped these down with a damped cloth and went to town with Hollow Hill chalk paint from Country Chic Paint. Its currently one of many favorites from their colors and you can see why.
The green is just majestic and perfect for Spring! I have been wanting this color in our home for a while now and though I'm sure I'll use it again soon, for now these shutters are just beautiful and I don't mind if they stay there all year round! See my blog post for further details.
