I like to plant hens and chickens in hard rocky soil and along foundations and walkways. An assortment will provide you with a very appealing garden.

Hens and chickens are great ground cover and do well in rocky hard soil! A variety will make the area eye appealing.

agapanthus
dietes bicolor
dietes grandifolia
strelitzia
ericas

All of these are indigenous to South Africa and do well in harsh conditions
