Creating Space

I was getting ready to install closet doors in my guest room. Between the pillows and suitcases, things were spilling out of this catch-all closet. The suitcases found a new home in my basement, but the pillows (12 of them) are for a project that I've been waiting to do for 2 years now. I swear, I will get to it - just not now! Last year I bought two boxes of vacuum bags with a total of 6 large bags - I just never used them...until last weekend. It's not rocket science and the directions come with the bags, but for those of you that don't realize just how much space these things can save - this one's for you!
Let's start with the before photo. No doors, lots of suitcases, and bags of pillows.
Step 1 - place 2 pillows in each bag and close the ziploc top.
Turn valve cap 1/4 turn to open it up.
Suck all of the air out of the bag with your home vacuum.
This is what it will look like after removing the vacuum nozzle and closing the valve cap.
See that fabric box on the shelf? Yep, there are 12 bed pillows in there!
Which leaves me room for all of the other stuff I have!
