Depends upon whether you have children and/or pets. Spray if you can handle that, my house can't for various reasons and I use those sticky fly strips. Ugly and nasty as they are, they work. If flies are coming in through the doorways, take a smallish brown paper bag (you can put newspaper in it, and hang it in your doorways. Flies think that it is a hornets nest and they won't come in the house. If they are coming in through the walls (happened to us one year, nest in the walls), do the above until you get them all, it will take time. {we never found the nest but they eventually stopped}. I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.
