I am looking for a recipe that will Keep spiders off the house. I would like it to be safe for my dog. Instructions on how and when to use it would be very helpful also.

Any broad spectrum pesticide should work fine on spiders, bugs and mosquitos. Apply with a pump sprayer like you might use for round up etc. Once it has dried the dog can go out. Put fresh water in any bird baths etc. Cut any hanging tree limbs near home. That’s the easiest way they gain entry.
Spiders smell with little hairs and their legs and they detest mint. Grow some at the base of your foundation. You can also put a tea bag in the cupboards and they will not like it. Hope that helps.
They also help with mice and rats.
