What can I do with an old phone??
I bought a house and there is a really ugly phone that is attached to the hole in the entrance way.
if you don't have a hazardous chemical shed at your city dump, the best way is to use it up. occasionally habitat for humanity will take it.
open the cans where nothing or no one can get into it. Then leave it sit till it drys completely up. Then you can put the lids back on and pu it in the garbagE.
Leave the lids off until the paint inside completely dries up. Then just dispose with your garbage
Add leaves and sand, stir and leave with lid open, out of rain. Or they now sell small packages of instant paint hardener near check out at paint areas in stores. Very cheep. Can also recycle, call local dump in your area for details. Usually a special day a week or month
Most hardware stores sell products to add to cans if you don’t have time to wait until paint dries out. When dry, (completely dried out!) put in the trash. Some towns (like mine) take paint @ their recycle centers & resell it.
Latex can be rinsed down the drain. Oil based in some places can be thrown out in a closed / sealed can. Some areas may ask that sand or kitty litter be added to keep it from leaking out or that it be taken to a toxic site
