chewy.com sells a zap pad! It sounds off a ticking noise when the dog gets close! That is a warning! If they jump on it they get a slight zap! Good for cats too! Tho I have to say I have forget to turn them off a sat on it a few times ! It is not a cruel electrocution, I don’t want people thinking that in any way! I love my fur kids they just don’t belong on the furniture

Most dogs hate the smell of citrus, so place lemon potpourri or spray a lemon furniture polish nearby. Or burn lemon or orange scented candles.

Dogs don't like the smell of citrus - can you spray a lemon or orange scent on it? Can you put a gate up to keep them out of that room? You may also want to cover your new furniture with a bed sheet and try to train them to stay away and keep the sheet on until the dogs know that they shouldn't be on this furniture?

I've heard dogs don't like citrus....2 of ours beg for a bite if I'm eating an orange. They love citrus!!! A gate would not work either....It's our family room I guess you could call it and connected to our garage and a patio and deck. It's basically the only way into our house. For years I did cover with throws and quilts. I have purchased a furniture cover from Sure Fit that is water proof and kind of stays in place. After waiting years to be able to replace our furniture I kind of hate not being able to see it unless we have company. But this is the life with dogs and we love them. Just hoped there might be a magic solution.
