Or take to a special leather cleaning shop.
I would take it to a dry cleaner that deals with leather or suede. There is no guarantee that the color will stay the same whether you clean it yourself or they do, but they work with it more and know how to do it right.

Most of the time you can’t clean it. Even some drycleaners won’t do it or if they do, it costs as much to buy a new jacket. Just wear it until it is dead!
Try a pencil eraser on the shiny spots to restore them
I have read that suede needs to be sent to special cleaners. You end paying more for cleaning than you did for the jacket. I'm sure that isn't what you wanted to hear.
2 options:
* Get a GUM RUBBER artists eraser. The eraser itself will roll bits off during use - but it will pick up the nap/pile & loosen stains/marks
* There are similar specialty "erasers" available at/thru your local boot/shoe repair shop
* "Google" cobbler supplies
