DIY framed prints

I have 3 white matted frames. I am not crafty but I was thinking of using silk ferns in each frame. Would one stem be enough for each frame? The matted area measures 5x7.
Thank you!

Well that depends on you, and your taste if you want all 3 to be the same. I would do it by trial and err see what you like. And it also depends on how big they are. I would overlap some, paint one and remove it as a shadow.

    Some ideas. .Good Luck

Instead of ferns use a large leaf of different styles and colors from Hobby Lobby or Michaels. You could also spray them black or any other color to add shades from other sides of the room. This will pull things around the room together.

i wouldn’t try to make them all the same. Turn them in different directions, or cut them at different lengths, or cut of a stem in a different place on each, or paint the backgrounds different colors. Have fun creating, take photos and post on Hometalk!

I saw something on hometalk where someone spray painted fake fern leaves gold and glued them on a canvas. You could do the same, one fern to each frame. That's what I want to do. They look very classy. I would hang the 3 of them vertically.

One fern in each frame would look wonderful. It would really highlight the fern
