There are some lplastic “L” shaped pieces of plastic that you adhere to the end of each wall outside the curtains. Buy @ your local hardware type store. They keep the wster inside the shower.

You could tile the wall. It's not that hard to do. Takes a couple days and a bit of elbow grease.

If you need an immediate and inexpensive fix, you might try getting clear plexiglass cut to fit the area (you might need a whole sheet, but they will cut to fit at Lowe's or Home Depot), you could even put some type of contact or wallpaper behind it if you want decoration too. Be sure to either go higher than level of water spray and seal around the edges and finish with trim molding if desired

If your shower curtain is cloth, stitch one side of Velcro to the edges of the curtain & attach the partner sides of velcro with double sided tape & stick it to the inside edge of the tub or sidewall of the shower.

If your shower curtain is plastic, then use the peel & stick Velcro & apply in the same manner as above for using double sided tape.

When you're ready for shower, press the strips together & your leaks should be over. Strips about 36 inches on each side should be sufficient. It comes in different colors depending on where you get it, home supply, Walmart, or fabric center.
