Vinyl Siding Replacement

I don't like the look of the yellow vinyl siding on the home we bought. Particularly the "front"-I can live with the sides and back. Can I cover or replace just the front with "faux" brick siding? Any idea on the cost of that project if possible?

Vinyl siding moves so anything you put on it will also move and crack. Better to remove the siding or replace with something not requiring anything with a grout like compound.

BIG job. The siding definitely would need to be removed. Cost and prices vary all over. Before attempting this project check out the homecenters and see what they have available in stone veneer, exterior stone panels, ease of installation, specs, and of course costs.

Amother option Is to change the color altogether. VinylSafe is paint specifically created for exterior siding. It’s made by Sherwin-Williams and theres probably similar products by other companies as well.

Barbara, I think a faux brick would look fabulous on this house, If you don't like the existing color, I would paint the entire house, not just the front since you would still have to look at 3 remaining yellow sides of it..... Why not do it in phases if cost is an issue? Paint the entire house in Phase I and see if you are happy with this solution. If you still want to do more, then add your faux finish to the front in Phase II. Ask a contractor to give you estimates for all solutions. You don't have to pay if you do nothing.
