How to cut roses off the bush without hurting the bush

    Cutting the flowers off will encourage the bush to rebloom and make more branches. Make your cut just above a 5-leaf section on a slight angle with a SHARP cutter.

    Use bypass style pruners. You won't hurt the bush.

    I agree with Barb T. The more you cut flowers the better my roses do. The main thing is make sure you are cutting with something sharp. I have even uses shears made for floral cutting. I normally use one of my pruners. Always cut at an angle. Roses add a wonderful fragrance to your home.

    A Small Barb T said, choose the bloom that you want to cut and follow the stem down to the first 5 leaf cluster and cut at an angle just above that cluster. Good luck!
