you can make them using an airdried clay or sculpty clay and bake it.
Have you tried the rooting mix? Soak a clipping in water for a few hours and then dip in rooting mix and then plant. I would use a planter and after it starts to grow and at the right time transplant in the garden.
How about buying a bag of reindeer moss from the dollar store and gluing to toothpicks.
Yes I have. I used to call my rose bushes. My Second chance Roses. The mix comes in a small box at you garden center with the instruction. good Luck Root Mix or Starter.
You want a finish that is scrubbable. Otherwise it’s up to personal preference. Make sure you prepare the surface well so that the paint adheres well, too.
