There are recommendations of very low numbers, but as one who monitors and controls humidity to prevent mold growth, I target 50%. Panic when it gets to 60% and during the winter I put up with whatever it is and get static electricity shocked a lot.

to Little, furnature can warp, to much rooms can feel cold, and mold can appear.its more personal preference...
