Either it was not installed correctly or there is water under it.
Most likely from dampness and moisture
Chances are it has been getting wet or damp. Exactly why I do not care for it.
i have laminate and live in a very damp climate. I use a portable humidifier when I feel or see a change in the floor. I run it during high humidity periods (97% right now) and it solves the problem with no damage. It’s on wheels so when not using just roll back into the closet. Laminate is very very common in this area.
Someone might have spilled a liquid and you didn’t realize it. The flooring might have shifted apart just enough for moisture to get in during cleaning. Or you might have a leak in the plumbing that pooled underneath the flooring. If you kept an extra box of flooring, you can pry up the bad boards and use a padded hammer to replace with new boards. Best wishes, and please post your work on Hometalk! ☺️
Check to see if the floor under the laminate has gotten soaked with water or other liquid.
