How to remove pckg. creases from no iron Poly/Spandex fabric shorts?

I bought polyester (92%) spandex(8%) Bermuda shorts. Care label states cold water wash - No softener - tumble dry low-remove promptly. Do Not Iron. There are creases from packaging. How do I get rid of those creases? Have washed and dried 3 times. Creases from packaging are still evident.

  • Have you tried steaming them out?

Did you hang them out on a clothes line to dry? Try soaking the shorts don’t wring out hang from line. The weight of the water may help pull out creases

Thank you Dfm. I may try that. The fabric is very light weight. It may work though.

Try placing a dish towel on shorts and use your iron on a lower temp to iron out wrinkles.

Thanks Michele. Trying to stay away from the iron but may try it.

You can wet a thick towel or washcloth with water, wring it out well and lay it over the creases. Then, iron over the wet cloth to steam the creases out. A dry cleaner told me this trick as I wanted to remove the creases from drapery fabric I had purchased was needed to remove the creased fold lines.

Thank you Deborah. May try this tip for the iron if other options don't do the trick. I smiled when I saw your location.

A tire dealer in your town saved the end of our vacation a couple years ago. Coming home from Camdenton, one of our trailer tires disintegrated. Put on the spare which didn't look a lot better and we limped into Mexico and found the dealer. They had tires that worked for us and switched out the four on the trailer plus then s new tire for the spare. We were on our way home within an hour. Very accommodating on a Saturday morning in August!! Will always have great thoughts about the people in Mexico, MO.

Cold wash, low heat dry. Then iron the shorts with a thick piece of cardboard on the inside to press in the new crease. If you want no crease, use the cardboard but don’t iron a crease, by moving the cardboard as you iron an area. ☺️
