Pallets!

Turn shipping pallets into a deck and fence!
Various treasures, such as a rusty motor oil can and a concrete cylinder, add charm, interest, and color.
A rabbit cage with a chipped, broken rabbit inside is used as a side table!
The only money spent on this project was for: deck screws, annual flowers, exterior paint for furniture, solar lights, outdoor adhesive for the solar light chandelier (which isn't pictured well). Check out my website or see my other posts here on hometalk to see better pictures of the solar light projects. *The first pictures are from 2013. The watermarked photos are from 2014.
Or try this pallet idea....turn a pallet on its side and use it as a shelf!

    How sturdy is your deck?

@Cheryl John, if I was to build this deck again, I would make it BIGGER and add proper footings. I just put the pallets on top of cinder blocks on the ground. I should have at least added sand and gravel under the cinder blocks. It is sturdy, it's just too small and bowing is a couple spots.
