I use toilet rolls as plant starters. Cut 4 slits around one end about 1 inch each then bend in toward the middle to make a closed end that will stand up. Fill with potting soil and plant seeds. Place filled rolls in a container to catch excess water and then water the seeded toilet rolls. When plants have two sets of leaves they can be planted in larger containers or into the garden if temperatures are appropriate. The rolls will break down and the cardboard collar will keep cutworms away.

Ihave found they're great for putting electrical cords in!!! just fold cords the way they come, shove in a tube. I leave the bigger plug side out; and will mark on the tube, any info I need, like length, grounded, what room, etc.

You can also use t.p. tubes by folding the ends in such a way that makes them perfect for small gifts.

Cat toys - they love toilet paper rolls, just like they are or cut the ends in a bit. Great entertainment to watch.
