I hate my mirrored sliding closet doors and I need ideas
My husband and I each have a closet and they are mirrored. I hate them. (1970s) What can I do with them?
I don't know if you have room for this, but it is the most wonderful makeup station" I have ever seen. Buy an entertainment cabinet (open doors on top for a tv, drawers underneath). At Goodwill, etc. you can find one for a reasonable amount. They are usually in a wood finish but the one I saw was painted and turned "shabby chic." A mirror and strip lights were placed in back where the tv should go. This gives you a great flat area to place cute containers to hold make up, etc. that you use daily. Idea: use crystal containers bought at thrift stores to hold brushes, etc. With entertainment units, there is no place for your knees. If you were really smart, you could cut a knee hole....otherwise, there are computer hutches that would work even better, since a keyboard tray would pull out and your chair goes under it. Please post any finished project you come up with! BTW...I almost forgot! I made one years ago by using an old, unusable sewing machine cabinet . Your knees fit under where the sewing machine was. Good luck!
