How to tell if these ceramic dolls are worth? And how to store them?

You can check the internet for possible value if they have names or makes on them or you still have the box and can find it there. If there are boxes i would put them back in them and store in plastic totes.

Store in tissue paper in a cool, dark place. Dolls are very collectible. It would be worth your while to get an appraisal. Sorry for your loss.

My Mom was a doll lady and collected and sold them for many years It looks from the photo that what you have there may be porcelain dolls. IF you turn the dolls over carefully they should have markings on the back of their necks. Possibly companies names, and/or numbers etc. Possibly Ashton-Drake company or maybe collectible Knowles company to name a few. You need to find out what the bodies are made of. Are they solid, or stuffed, or kid (leather body), etc.

My aunt was a well-known doll specialist and taught me a thing or two. Look on the back of their heads. There will be incised marks or stamps with the maker's logo, initials or name, model or mold number. Look at their bodies. Many of the older dolls did not have porcelain bodies. The fabrics in your picture appear to be modern fabrics, so these may be relatively modern dolls (I recognize some of them from the 1980s-around 2005) that have not yet entered the "antique" realm, although some may be old dolls that were re-outfitted with modern fabrics. That doesn't make them less collectable, just in different categories. You would be surprised what my red-headed Barbie from the early 1960s fetches!
