I have a concrete lawn statue which has broken in half.

I have tried concrete epoxy but that did not hold. I'm considering Gorilla Glue but given the weight of what I'm trying to connect, will it hold?

I would use thinset for setting tile on both pieces. Use a 1/2" notched trowel.

I watched this YouTube video and I think it may help. There are several on the site, so I hope this helps. I did read in an article online, that you will want to remove any crumbly material, dirt, etc. so that you have a better adhesion. Good luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cD1dz2BJ5QE

I would drill some small holes opposite each other on the two pieces to be joined, and get some thin metal rods to fit in the holes and a couple inches long, then set them in the concrete with epoxy on one side, let set up, and then add the other piece using epoxy. You will need a masonry bit for your drill the diameter of the rods. You can find these rods at a hardware store like True Value usually in same bin as the wooden dowels.

One thing to make sure of when using concrete epoxy is that it is bone dry. Even a little but of dampness can undermine the effectiveness

Call your local concrete company and ask them or use plasictrete to fill it in where it's broken
