9 times out of 10, the phone is toast. That is why people have insurance for them. You can fix yourself (I have never seen a successful fix diy), or you take it in to your carrier and have them replace the glass provided the phone still works, or get a new phone.

As far as I know, that is not something that can be done by a DIYer.
Get your screen protector for your phone from Amazon make sure you use a little hand held scraper to get all the air bubbles out. Verizon wanted 275.oo from my sister with insurance. I fixed it for her. Once you have the right protector on there you don't worry about a cracked screen. Hubby thought his was cracked it was just the protector.
There are repair shops popping up for cell phones. Check one of those out after you talk with someone who has used them and is satisfied, also check BBB!
