Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
Wow! Great question! Let me Google!
From what I read, this idea is an old wives tale. I also read that if you put a Bounce drier sheet in your pocket while gardening, it will keep the mosquitoes and gnats away.
I'm not sure, but I do know that if there’s not enough bees around then hand pollinating really works great. It’s pretty easy to do. Just transfer some pollen from the male flowers to the female flowers. Hand pollinating tomatoes will also give you a lot more tomatoes. To pollinate tomatoes just tickle the flowers with your fingers. I‘m not completely sure why this works, but it does.
Ok I Googled, but did not find any proof. I did find this:

It lists the "bad stuff" in dryer sheets and if I had to guess, it might be keeping the pollinating insects away. But this is just a guess . . .
