I have this outdoor pillow that has faded. The matching pillow to it has not faded. What can I do to restore the Navy to a darker shade?

  • Off the top of my head, you could try fabric paint?

    • You are so welcome! That happens to me too, even with the expensive "sunbrella" fabric. My stuff stays out year round though. I have a second set of "nice" pillows that I put out when guests come over. When they get too shabby, I just make new covers for the existing pillow forms. Easy and cheap!

Fabric paint is awesome for upholstery or any type of pillows just make one make sure one side is dry before you paint the other side takes about 24 hours

I’ve used water proof fabric protector like the kind you use for tents or outdoor canvas umbrellas or cushions. It does seem to darken the fabric a bit. I guess you could try it since you probably have no other options. It doesn’t usually work on synthetic fabrics, but I’ve had success with cotton and canvas. I also think the ladies at Jo-Ann Fabric Store might able to offer you advice.

Thank you so much. I will try it. I just love look and texture of the pillow, so I want to keep using it 😀. Thank you for the advice.

I think a fabric paint is the way to go!
