The only way to really build it right is to purchase a kit and build it from that. Hubby used to be into R/C planes back when almost every plane was built from scratch with raw supplies that came in the kits and you had to fashion all the wood into a perfect plane in order to put in all the hardware and have a plane that flew right. There weren't many Styrofoam kits back then. Hobby shops will have what you need. You may be able to get plans online, but fashioning the plane out of raw Styrofoam will be very hard to get right unless you really know how to work with Styrofoam to carve the perfect shapes you need. I haven't heard anyone talking here at Hometalk about flying R/C planes and building one. Perhaps there are some out there that has made a Styrofoam plane. Good luck! Perhaps the city you live in has a hobby shop that deals with building planes and you can pick their brains for help. They usually are real good about helping a person when they run into trouble.
