Just remember, either laminate (cheaper) or wood-look tile (longer lasting) will be very slippery and the dogs may not want to go on it. Mine don't.
Ceramic tile would be more durable! Vinyl Wood look tile or Strips or sheet would be easy clean and quieter.
Also consider sheet vinyl that is printed like wood. It is pretty inexpensive. I have it in my kitchen, and in the landing going to my basement. Several people thought I had hardwood put down. I strayed away from laminate due to dogs - it does not tolerate water much. Been down 10 years now - still looks great.
